Project Verbena

Nestled within Harpenden's picturesque West Common area, Project Verbena is a beautiful Edwardian family home. Our work to date has focused on the redesign of the daughter's bedroom and guest bedroom, creating beautifully personalised spaces that reflect each individual's personality while complementing the home's period character.

Set within a beautiful Edwardian family home in Harpenden's West Common area, Project Verbena showcases two highly personalised bedroom transformations. Every element of the schemes was thoughtfully curated, with hand-selected fabrics, finishes and furnishings, alongside bespoke made-to-measure blinds, curtains and cushions, creating beautifully layered interiors that feel both timeless and uniquely personal.

The daughter's bedroom was designed for a vibrant nine-year-old, with a scheme inspired by her love of skiing and swimming. These passions were subtly woven into the artwork and styling, creating a room that feels uniquely hers while avoiding an overly childlike aesthetic. Every design decision was made with longevity in mind, resulting in a timeless space that can effortlessly evolve with her from childhood into her teenage years.

The guest bedroom presented a different creative opportunity. The clients were drawn to the richness of deep wine-red tones, which we paired with layered blues to create a warm, sophisticated retreat for visiting family and friends. Careful space planning transformed the challenges of the awkward attic room into a strength, creating a layout that feels both luxurious and inviting.
