Styling FAQ's

Can my current furniture be incorporated?

You may have pieces you love but are struggling to imagine how they will fit into a new scheme. We can provide options or ways to adapt your old favourites to fit. Depending on the genre, it’s often ok to mix pieces in the design if it’s done right.

What information do I need to provide at our initial consultation?

  • What styles do you like or have in mind?

  • Will you want to remain in the home or room during the makeover?

  • Is there anything you absolutely dislike?

  • What is your timeframe?

  • What is your budget?

What is your ‘signature interior style’?

As a life-long interiors fan, I can honestly say I appreciate most styles and have a good eye for (and slight obsession with) the latest interior trends. My style is relatively traditional. I love to layer with texture and colour and build upon a muted classic base. I like to feature nature in my design to provide harmony against man made elements, be it through wood flooring, plants, reclaimed/vintage finds or accessories made from woven material like sisal, seagrass or rattan for example.

How long does the re-style process take?

It all depends on the size of the room / property and the scope of the work required. We will start with a meeting to go through the brief in detail. From there we can turn a project around in as little as two weeks, however, if we need to instruct trades etc then this will affect the project time.

Can you get discounts for your clients from homeware retailers?

If I can, I will! As a general rule I pay the same prices as you but there may occasionally be instances where I have access to time bound discounts. To take advantage of these, as they come up, follow our Instagram page @styled_living

Can I re-style on a budget?

You absolutely can. Re-styling isn’t just about re-decorating and buying new curtains and furniture. It’s also re-designing the rooms flow, be it re-positioning furniture or finding uses for odd spaces and adding subtle changes with layering and accessories. This makes a huge difference. Our re-style package starts at £500 and includes mood boards, scaled drawings, a 3d room render, and a shopping list with clickable links.
